ĭO NOT put the brakes on, let it slow naturally with stick hard back swinging left and right (or go onto grass) brake below 8kts with stick fully back or itwill nose in At point of flare add in final 80 deg flap with stick back, this acts as an airbrake on the runway. On finals you want 3rd flap to 30 deg and hold A/S above 95kts, reducing through 85kts as you flare, keep the nose high on finals it will be too l late to adjust as you flare. In the circuit reduce A/S to 130kts and feed in 2nd flap (15deg) you may need to add throttle to maintain A/S in turns. The real one only went up to 415kts (525 in a dive). See how fast this thing goes and then challenge a multiplayer to a race. It gets very twitchy as A/S goes above 380kts, it requires tiny stick movements. Retract gear advance throttle about 20% and when A/S is over 110kts slowly set flaps to zero, do it too quick and you will get a solid port wing drop. Stick fully back and central before slowly advancing throttle, will not need much more than half throttle, it has a vicious swing to right and you will need to add in bursts of left rudder to keep it straight, It will fly itself off at about 85kts. Set flap to 10 or 15 degrees and brakes off. Do not advance the throttle above tickover (about 1400rpm/ 15% throttle). Make sure throttle is set to zero, usual SH/CRTL/E to start. This first production version adds more detail to the cockpit. Laminar's unguided rocket is incomplete, so to get a more accurate operation I wrapped a graphic around the stock Sidewinder and manually edited weights and kill radius in the WPN file. Sean McLeod kindly provided some accurate Hawker information and DanHopgood made the correct airfoils which usefully added better stability and enable lower landed speed. Thanks to Beber for the pilot and to Dataroots for sounds from the Tempest. Many thanks to Domhenry for letting me use his excellent instruments package which has been adapted for this aeroplane. If anyone wants to re-map, but please don't fiddle in the cockpit, you'll soon wish you didn't! The Hawker Typhoon, maybe best known for its rocket attacks on Panzers at the Falaise Gap in Normandy. I am very aware that I am not the best painter on the planet, so textures please. !!!MAKE SURE TO MAKE A REVIEW AFTER DOWNLOADING!!! Also, the high quality redistributable HOTAS model was made by . The amazing people who have helped and contributed to this work so are: the JDG Team, especially an acf tuning, and the permission to use the ECM Pod from the F-4 below which is allowed for use on other aircraft. ![]() Use the 2D panel if you want to individually choose which weapon (for example, AIM-9 or AIM-120) as there are no touchscreens.ĭon't jerk the controls suddenly down or you could end up in a stall. ![]() Ignore the stall warning while engaged in combat. I found that the landing speed tended to be at 168Kts with no external stores on and a smooth approach. ![]() Takeoff is tricky with drop tanks so I would advise flying without them. It is equipped with conformal fuel tanks and a dorsal spine to house extra avionics. The F-16D block 52+ is one of the mostly versatile and capable of the later F16 variants.
